We have not been stranded on an asteroid

I was looking at the site the other week and realized that it’d been a while since I posted anything “meaningful”.

So, what has SWB as a company been doing? It seems that days and weeks have flown by!

First, I’ve hired two new support staff. Feel free to email Brandon and Dave and welcome them aboard (yes, I know, I’m a little late in this announcement). They will be taking over from Rich, who is returning to Canada (or is that Canadia? ho ho ho) in the next couple of months.

Rich has been responsible for the vast proportion of support work here at SWB, and has done a fantastic job of it. In the time that he’s been he’s answered in the order of 14,000 customer responses. I would like to thank Rich for his excellent work, and wish him the best for his future videography.

With regard to development – I’ve been working on a mixture of technical issues. Progress has been slower than I’d like, but I’m really trying to properly nail down issues relating to high speed video composition and colour (yes, that’s how we here on the other side of the planet spell it) correction.

Mixed in with all that was the server move, which went very very well. If you need VPS hosting, I would happily recommend slicehost/rackspace. My personal experience with them has been 110% excellent. Great support, and excellent communication.

I didn’t want to write a bunch of technical stuff in this post – but did want to say “We’re alive!”

btw: if anyone IS interested in AVFoundation, it’s limits, shader based colour correction, etc – let me know and I’ll post something.

If you require support, please, send us an email , or visit our support website. Thanks.
