shinywhitebox is a very small internet based product development company founded in early 2006 by Neil Clayton. Neil has been developing software for over 15 years, both personally and professionally. The realization of concepts into concrete bits of “nice to use” software has been his passion in computing for just as long.
shinywhitebox was formed to focus this energy as a commercial venture. The essence being to provide outstanding mac software at a reasonable price.

Neil began coding at the age of 8, leading (eventually) to a Masters in Computer Science at Victoria University. Having founded the company he continues to be involved in the technical design and implementation of various things, and also takes care of its day to day operation. Outside of work he rides a motorcycle, drinks coffee and tinkers with cars (the current being a 1997 RX7).

Joshua is more or less on loan from Audiofile Engineering. Josh started with shinywhitebox sometime in 2010 (no one can remember) and has been attached to the team since then. When not doing Cocoa Josh gets involved with embedded systems (think: putting things into orbit) and fly fishing. In his other life he’s a rock star – playing guitar for The Evening Rig. Did we mention he likes fishing?

Robert grew up in Wellington and lived in the Coromandel for his college life. He has a background in Acting and Directing with a degree in Performing Arts. He is a video producer, enjoys playing music and spending time with his son. When you send a question into shinywhitebox, Robert is the guy answering it!
